AVI  – Audio Video Interleaved – files are video files that conform to Microsoft Resource Interchange File Format – RIFF – specifications. AVI file names end with the extension “.avi”.

GUID (global unique identifier) is a term Microsoft uses for a program-generated number that creates a unique identity for things like Word documents. GUIDs are widely used in Microsoft products to identify interfaces, replica sets, records, and other objects.

A KEY FRAME is a crucial tool in video compression. A key frame is a frame that contains all the data. Frames that follow a key frame refer back to it and give a picture by providing information about the ways they differ from it.
